Kowloon Marine Lots 29, 30 and 31.
With reference to your letters of the 7th.,
and 22nd. November and 12th. January addressed to the Colonial Secretary and to your letters of the 17th. January and 1st. February addressed to me I am instructed to inform you as follows
The Government is advised that each separate
owner should make a separate claim giving particulars of the property held by him, its frontage on Reclamation Street and the amount of compensation claimed.
The Government has not repudiated and does
not intend to repudiate any claim presented by a frontager with- x-in Section 12 of the Harbour of Refuge Ordinance, 1909, and it is obviously impossible to state in advance whether any portion of any claim made will be allowed or disallowed.
I do not see how the absence from or presence
in the Colony of Ir. Ough or Mr. Turner, affects the question: there are plenty of valuers in the Colony including the partners of the gentlemen named whose services could presumably be secured by your clients.
I may point out that your clients were on the 12th. February, 1910, requested to give the particulars above mentioned and that Messrs. Wilkinson and Grist on the 18th. February, 1910, promised to furnish the particulars but have hitherto failed to do so.
